  • Genetic & Phenotypic studies on performance traits of cattle, goat & pig of Assam and neighbouring North Eastern States.
  • Genetic evaluation of Crossbred (Jersey X Assam Local) and Frieswal Cattle.
  • Derivation of selection indices for cattle, pig, poultry and goat.
  • Type characterisation of local cattle, buffalo, goat, pig, Miri Fowl and Nageswari Duck of Assam as well as Manipuri cattle.
  • Cytogenetic studies of cattle, buffalo and goat of Assam.
  • Biochemical polymorphism studies on serum/ blood protein/ enzymes/ electrolytes/ vis-a-vis their assocaition with important economic traits in livestock and poultry.
  • Phenotypic characterisation, biochemical markers and DNA fingerprinting of Mithun.
  • Physical, Biochemical and Performance studies of Yak.
  • Domestication of swamp buffaloes and their adoptation to stall-feeding system of management.
