Salient achievements

  • Salient achievements:
  • Modified technique for processing and freezing of buck semen developed.
  • Low-cost techniques for freezing of semen and oocytes were developed.
  • Practical, cost-effective method of treatment of repeat breeding in cattle developed and transferred to the field veterinarian.
  • Developed techniques for processing and freezing of boar semen.
  • Systemic studies were conducted to obtain basic information on different aspects of reproduction in high altitude animals i.e. Mithun and Yak.
  • Produced first embryo transfer born yak calf jointly with scientists of National Research Centre on Yak (ICAR) and Department of Veterinary Physiology, College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara, Guwahati.
